With the challenges facing law enforcement today, we need your help. We need your help to ensure we can maintain public safety. There are many politicians that are actively calling for “Defunding the Police” as violent crime and unrest are increasing in our communities. They want to eliminate laws that keep you safe and take away tools and equipment that allow officers to do their jobs safely. They do not want to hold criminals accountable, while at the same time taking away police officers due process rights.

We must stand in opposition to unreasonable and failed policy ideas that will make it harder for law enforcement to keep you and your family safe. Our community and way of life depend on the rule of law and fair justice for ALL.

Candidate Endorsements

A large part of PLEA’s mission is ensuring that the rights and benefits of our members are secured and protected, and one way we accomplish this is by endorsing political candidates who align with our goals and who are supportive of law enforcement. That’s why it’s crucial that we know who our candidates are and what they stand for before we back them.

To that end, PLEA has created a political candidate questionnaire to help us evaluate our candidates’ positions on the issues that our important to our members and the profession. If you are a candidate whose platform includes issues in common with PLEA and our stated goals, then we’d like to hear from you or a representative of your campaign. PLEA will review your answers, and if approved, a representative from our association will reach out to you and request that you attend an interview with our Board of Directors to further discuss your ideas and positions on issues.
